Keep the storage record tied to the assignment
A recovered vehicle should remain identifiable throughout its stay. The VIN, account reference, arrival record, and condition photos help the lender confirm which asset is being held and what instructions apply to it.
Recovered vehicles are held in fenced, monitored Nashville-area storage. Confirm any special requirements before assignment, including unusual vehicle size, a non-running asset, or a planned short-notice transfer.
Treat personal property separately from the vehicle
Items found inside a vehicle are handled as personal property, with inventory and retrieval coordination forming part of the existing recovery process. Vehicle disposition instructions should not be treated as instructions to dispose of the borrower’s belongings.
When arranging retrieval, contact us first so the applicable identification, appointment, and authorization requirements can be confirmed. Do not send a person to a storage location without checking the arrangement.
Give clear release instructions
- Identify the vehicle and lender account.
- Name the authorized receiving party or carrier.
- Provide the destination and any agreed delivery appointment.
- Confirm how keys and relevant documents should travel.
- Supply a lender contact who can resolve a discrepancy at release.
Review storage charges before scheduling collection
Storage duration, payment status, and the type of asset affect the charges described on our pricing page. Review that page and confirm the current terms for the assignment rather than assuming every vehicle has the same release balance.
If the vehicle is going to an auction or dealership, coordinate the transport request and storage release together. The vehicle can then leave against a specific destination instruction.
